I went to Smiles by Gurms after struggling to find a dentist who could help with my narrow teeth and achieve a more symmetrical look. I had consultations with four different dentists, including one who was supposedly the best in Birmingham, but they all said my case was out of their scope. I had almost lost hope…until I found Smiles by Gurms.
My treatment included Invisalign, metal braces, a dental implant, and finally, cosmetic bonding. I am so happy I found Smiles By Gurms! The building and its decor are beautiful and all of the staff are so friendly, reassuring, and talented! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years and have had unfailingly excellent experiences with the hygienist team, with the lovely people on reception, and with the dentists. I had to have a wisdom tooth out this week and Dr Gurms did such an amazing job that it was literally painless, both during the procedure and in the aftermath. I feel blessed to have access to this wonderful team and recommend them enthusiastically!

I have been coming to Smiles by Gurms for a few months now and the service, friendliness and professionalism is always spot on. They always go out of their way to make sure you are reassured and happy and you never feel rushed.
Cost ended up being a lot more then initially quoted. Never explain anything. I now have a piece of metal hanging out my mouth.

Had an awesome experience at smiles by gurms having invisiline treatment. After orthodontic work I had when younger that I let slip without wearing my retainer, I was looking to get that smile back. I had treatment with Gurms for invisalign. I had a complex case where i suffer tmj, misaligned teeth and a deep bite. I have been informed Gurms sold me the i7 package which is a package to treat minor issues only so this was the wrong package for my needs. Then due to covid there were further delays which meant i kept weekly aligners on for several weeks. I had a total of 21 aligners over a 52 week period.
Gurms did not deliever the outcome i expected and then refused to extend the treatment plan even though he said he would prior to taking all my money.
When i told him i was not happy with the outcome he advised me to spend 1k on cosmetic bonding to fix the misaligned teeth which I refused.
I paid £2.700 for my treatment excluding consultation.
For a whole year he kept inviting me in to talk about the issues so i went back n forth wasting time at his practice trying to get further tretment. After a whole year he offered me full refund and when i accepted but he then retracted this offer and went down to 1k. Eventually I took the matter to court but Gurms was not honest or factual with his defence statement and instead became personal. When i questioned him about this he told me its because he is dissapointed in me as he had treated me like family. He blamed invisalign for refusing to reopen my plan and I regretably accepted an offer for less than half of what i had spent on my treatment plan.
Since the court case concluded I have been advised by several dentists and contacted invisalign directly who told me my treatment plan could only have been reopened by Gurms. I have been advised by a professional who worked with Gurms previously that this is not the first time he sold the wrong package so they are not surprised by my story. This person encouraged me to report Gurms to the GDC which i have done and the case is currently under investigation. I will update with outcome.
I would not recommend Gurms to anyone, he is not a man of his word. He is not honest about costs and treatment outcomes. He is, in my opinion, greedy and lacks expertise in orthodontics and should stick to creating fake teeth. I am shocked but not so shocked anymore to read the other reviews which are so similar to my own story. I wish i had known this before as i would never had gone to such a dishonest individual. Gurms is a insta hype and i have faith with maharajs kirpa that due to how he has behaved, that hype will soon end.

Amazing service! I have a fear of dentists but all of the staff here made my experience feel so comfortable! I chipped my teeth a few years ago but Tarnjeet was able to strip out the old bonding and rebond the teeth giving them a natural look. In addition, I had to reschedule my appointment several times since I was travelling from London but the team was very flexible in doing this. Overall very happy with the service and I will continue to use Tarnjeet for any future cosmetic work!
I had the best experience. Dr gurms as well as the Dental Nurses and all of the receptionist really work with pride. I feel like my teeth have been in the best care. I’m very happy with my smile now and have not stopped smiling since I left my appointment! Thank you!
Five stars isn’t enough. Dr Gurms has a team of dentists but I only worked with him directly and I must say… he’s changed my smile and my self confidence in a multitude of ways. He’s honest, fair, kind and a real genius. He didn’t just give me the smile I wanted, he treated me like family, and even took care of a tooth that had nothing to do with Invisalign as a normal patient that could have resulted VERY differently elsewhere. His entire team are all educated and qualified so it doesn’t matter who you get on the phone - they know how to help. I can’t recommend him enough. I’ve had the best experience and now can actually smile in photos. Thanks Holly, Kristina and Gurms for putting up with me - it isn’t easy to do that!

Without the cost of vaneers as then I would not have been able to afford those, and did not want to go abroad for Turkey Teeth.
The start of my treatment I felt comfortable, at ease, we spoke about the options and how well each would work for me or if they wouldn’t work for me. After what felt like an age due to covid, and three lots of 12 aligners, we finally had the alignment in place and ready for whitening and bonding, the whitening, for me is the worst experience but that’s purely down to the formula which is not in Dr Raja’s realm, but we worked with a way that could gently whiten my teeth over a safe amount of time.
Next was the bonding and I can not explain how excited I have been for that moment, the first time I saw my new teeth I could not have been happier. They were natural looking, bright, even, symmetrical and suited my mouth shape perfectly. I am so glad I invested in my teeth with Smiles by Gurms. I had travelled from London, assuming that the treatment provided would be honest, but I was completely wrong. My initial issue was that I had gaps between my teeth from gum disease, and my teeth had moved as I had stopped wearing my retainers. I was told that I could have gum grafting, but beforehand, it would be good to align my teeth. I was given the cost, and I agreed to that. I was told that it will take few months and then once my teeth is sorted,then the other dentist can perform the gum graft procedure and I will also be given few pairs (3) of retainers to wear.
I had made good few trips and upon my last daily retainer,I was asked if I wanted my teeth whitening and to be honest I was not aware until I had to make payment what that entailed as I thought it was just a quick thing that dentist did. In that appointment I did ask about gum grafting and I was told that Dr Gurms will be meeting the other dentist and will get back to me on that in few days and that never happened, I was just left in limbo with no permanent retainer.
I had messaged a few weeks after and asked what was happening, and weeks later, I chased again, and I was booked a telephone appointment with Dr Gurms. On the day I moved my work meeting to later and Dr. Gurms had called later than appointment time ( understandable as appointments do overrun). I had no follow-up call or anything until weeks later I asked via WhatsApp message like before and I heard nothing and few weeks later I chased again and was given a excuse that my messages were missed. I am not sure how anyone can do this,i.e., leave patients' treatment half-way and just lie through and through. Please don't deceive people and give incorrect information, and if you are charging patients a few thousand pounds for treatment, complete theory treatment. I had taken time off work each time I travelled from London, for which I don't get paid as I thought I could trust service here, but I was proved wrong. I would have been better off having this done in London, and it would have been much cheaper.

Initially came to Gurms for invisalign and bonding and during the course of my treatment decided to have other work done to perfect my smile.

I found Dr Gurms over 4 years ago when I started my journey on getting my dream smile! I saw him in leeds but have since visited him at his new clinic due to a tooth needing fixing, this was no trouble at all and the practice is outstanding. The front of house staff were super lovely, smiley and friendly! Offered a hot or cold drink upon arrival and made to feel really welcome.My teeth are still in the best condition as if new. Dr Gurms is professional and one of the nicest people you will meet and really cares about it patients. It is great to see him doing so well with his own practice, would recommend him to anybody wanting to transform their smile😁

My smile journey started with Dr Dev Pankhania at the Smiles by Gurms practice in July and I completed my smile in August. I was introduced to Dr Dev and the lovely Naima who advised me about my options regarding the changes I wanted for my smile. I was a little nervous at first as this was the first time I was receiving any cosmetic work to my teeth and didn’t want the result to look too Essex, but Dr Dev quickly reassured me that the results he envisioned would be a natural and balanced smile as I wanted. After the initial plan had been laid out which included GBT, teeth whitening, gum contouring and composite bonding I was happy to go ahead and my appointments were quickly scheduled in. During the cleaning process I met with the hygienist who did a great job at cleaning my teeth and then met with the practice manager in my following appointment regarding maintaining the cleanliness of my teeth. This was a really useful experience as I learnt the technique of properly brushing and flossing my teeth.
Following this I received teeth whitening treatment which I completed at home and then scheduled in my appointment for the composite bonding. During my appointment Dr Dev and Naima kept me informed of the procedure and was patient through any anxieties I had. It was evident during my appointment that Dr Dev is a perfectionist (in the best way!) as he took his time to achieve the exact smile that I wanted. I spoke through the shape and style of smile that I wanted and the results exceeded my expectations. I also had certain concerns regarding the white spots on my teeth and Dr Dev did a phenomenal job of removing these with the ICON treatment. He also did a great job of widening my smile with the bonding and blended this seamlessly into my smile. The gum contouring healed within a couple of days and was really happy that I went ahead with this procedure as it gave me the perfect symmetry that I wanted. The whole procedure took a couple of hours, was pain free and even got to a watch a few episodes of Friends during the procedure. I had the Guided Biofilm Therapy with Dental Therapist Kiran. My teeth looked amazing afterwards, a lot brighter. Since I have been seeing Kiran my oral health has improved. She is very knowledgeable and has helped me understand how best to care for my teeth.

I visited Smiles by Gurms to have a consultation about my teeth and what could be done to improve their appearance as they've always made me self conscious. From the moment I walked in I was wowed, this place is just stunning. Dr Gurms was knowledgeable and made me feel so at ease, we talked through my options and what would suit my wants best. I have now completed my smile journey which included whitening and composite bonding and am left with the most incredible teeth I could have ever wished for with absolutely no damage to my natural teeth. I have never felt comfortable going to the dentist. I was always so unhappy with my teeth and it really knocked my confidence. However, Dr Gurms has been amazing with making me feel comfortable when attending his clinic. From when I first came for my consultation to now, my teeth has improved so much and they’re not even finished yet! He has always made me aware of what happens next and put me at ease when I have been worried. He has also always been open and honest to answering any questions I have had.
The rest of the staff at Smile By Gurms (Stephanie and Kristina in particular) are very welcoming and always help me out when I have any type of concern or issue.

Best place ever to get your teeth fixed! Will not recommend any extra work if you do not need it! I wanted cosmetic bonding but was told I simply didn’t need it once I had my Invisalign and whitening done! Not many dentists will tell you that, they will want you to spend your money! I traveled all the way from London to attend this surgery after having consultations with people local to me, I was put at ease from the first meeting which is huge as I have a severe phobia of dentists and had not been to one for years prior to this surgery! Nice relaxed atmosphere, not sold a million things, work was carried out nicely and no rushed jobs! In a nutshell u will be barmy to go elsewhere … the love and care from this surgery is phenomenal! I have a beautiful smile and that’s all down to Dr Gurms and the lovely Holly, I can’t miss her out! 💜🧡💜🧡 much love for yr new surgery, cannot wait to come for my check up! Again this is coming from someone who would run the opposite direction even when in dental pain, not anymore!

Dr Gurms has been my dentist for over 15yrs and I cannot recommend him enough!As a child, I had a fear of dentists due to bad experiences with previous dentists, however due to his welcoming personality and fantastic sense of humour he alleviated any fears I had and made me feel at ease...dental visits actually became a positive experience! Prior to my wedding, Dr Gurms carried out some cosmetic bonding for me and thanks to his fantastic work I was able to enjoy a far more confident wedding smile. I'm really pleased to see the progression in his dental journey and thank him for helping me to achieve a winning smile!
I had cosmetic bonding by Gurms on 4 of my teeth and it was the best decision I have made. Gurms was thorough with his consultation and honest. I had initially asked if I needed the top 6 teeth doing but he assured me I only needed 4 as they were the ones you could see when I smiled. I appreciated this honesty and went ahead with the treatment which was pain-free and quick but made the biggest difference to my smile. Highly recommend!!!!

I had Invisalign, boutique whitening, and composite bonding on my front four teeth with Dr Gurms. It has now been over a year since I had my dental treatments and I am still extremely happy with the results. I have had no issues and my teeth still look as perfect as when Dr Gurms first completed my treatments. After a consultation and quote for fixed braces when visiting Dr Gurms at a practice he was working at, I noticed a couple of weeks after that he was promoting an offer at a different practice through Instagram. I contacted the alternative practice to see if I could go there for treatment on there special offer to which they agreed. (There was no small print to say that if you had a consultation previously you couldn’t take up the special offer price) It was around 20 mins drive further away but for a £1000 saving I thought it was definitely worth it.

Amazing service and amazing staff members. Had the best journey with Dr Gurms Raja, from having daunting experiences in the past, I officially went private and first hand have had an experience like no other. Attention to detail all whilst retaining a very natural look which I was going for. I had Invisalign, boutique whitening and minimal cosmetic bonding. Great location and just a stone throw away from the City Centre.
The worst experience by any dentist. Dr Gurms is not very honest about full treatment costs and found that he wanted to charge extra amounts over a deal that had already been agreed too. I’m very unhappy as my treatment was left incomplete due his greed, lies and customer disregard. Avoid at all costs, I wish I had listened to those who had warned me about him and his unprofessionalism.
